snuggle time!

Elijah doesn't really sit still for very long...he's quite the energetic little boy.  It's been a long week here with us all sick, but it's been a good time to take advantage of the few moments that Elijah has been more snuggly than usual.  And Justin just LOVES IT when Elijah will lay his head on him.  He's gotten to where he will lay his head down when we tell him to (for a second or two!) and just grin so big.  We did capture a few (unforced) snuggle moments the other day as Elijah and Justin watched the birds.  Too cute!

elijah's first artwork!

Here's Elijah's (ahem, & Mom & Dad's) first artwork attempt.  Elijah was pretty interested in the stickers, getting excited about the dog, turtle, and monkey.  He wasn't quite sure how to handle the pen.  I've got to get him some Jumbo crayons to try out!

bird watching!

Elijah has been all excited about seeing the birds congregate on our back deck lately.  Since it has been so cold and there is still snow on the ground, it hasn't taken long for the birds to discover the scrumptious bird food I've left for them on the deck.  We have had dozens of birds flying around our house and it's actually been pretty exciting! Elijah is signing "bird" and saying "tweet-tweet" so it's been a great way to pass the time on these cold, indoor days.  Here are a few shots of the birds I was able to catch today.

Welcome to our new family blog.  I started this blog specifically for grandparents...I guess...to keep them up to date with all that's going on with Elijah.  Mostly, to post pictures and videos of him.  But of course, if you're interested in keeping up with our family, I'm glad you stopped by.  Maybe I'll even get Justin to blog a few times...who knows!
